In my opinion, it’s both, it was so ‘terrifying’ that it got ‘trending’.
The man is shown in the trending video lying down as the liquid is pumped into his ear. A live spider emerges when the liquid is put in.
Ever wondered what you might do if you encountered a spider? Would you attentively examine it from a safe distance or run away in terror? What if the spider landed on your skin or, worse, made its way inside your ear canal? Just thinking about it might give you the shivers. Unluckily, a man’s worst nightmare came true, and a video of the incident quickly became popular on Twitter. An undated video of the same thing was released by the Twitter account Strangely Terrifying.
In the trending video, a man is seen lying down as the liquid is pumped into his ear. The audience and the man are equally startled as a live spider crawls out while the liquid is being poured in. DNA was unable to verify the legitimacy of this footage, though.
After being shared, the video has received several likes and comments and has been viewed 5.7 million times.
