CLIMBS OUT OF A CANAL The estimated 25-year-old elephant falls into a canal in Welikanda, a region in eastern Sri Lanka near Polonnaruwa, prompting wildlife officials to come up with a plan of action. The elephant can be seen in the video wading through the canal’s water before locating the Department of Wildlife Conservation’s specially constructed rope ladder. An attempt is made by the te’ao elephant to ascend the canal’s perilous bank.
He attempts to lift his back legs out of the water repeatedly but is unsuccessful, so he retreats back into the canal. The elephant is then moved through the canal and towards the specially made ladder for him by rescuers using firecrackers. AS THE PROVERB SAYS ”try try,but don’t cry” is the best suitable example wher eit tried best to come out ..
The elephant ultimately climbs a ladder consisting of ropes, tacks, and tyres, at which point he begins to elevate his body out of the water. After the six-hour ordeal, the elephant makes a quick attempt to get his body out of the water and free himself from the rope. Before succeeding in climbing the ladder and getting back to dry ground, he makes multiple attempts.
