I HAVE NEVER SEEN EACH OTHER FEEL AVERSION FOR 36 MILLION YEARS, LETS ME KNOW WHY?

Using Bamboo To Catch Fish

Catching Fish with Large Traps Made of Bamboo
Lift nets, also known as lever nets, are a type of fishing technique in which nets are submerged to a certain depth and then vertically lifted out of the water. The nets can be flat or shaped in the shape of a bag, rectangle, pyramid, or cone. Lift nets can be operated by hand, by boat, or by the shore. They usually use bait or a light source to attract fish.

Lift nets are manually or mechanically hauled out through boom and blocks. Large lift nets typically necessitate the use of one or more winches. The operations from the shore, canoe or larger boat include setting the net at a certain depth with an opening facing upwards, attracting the fish with light or bait, and manually or mechanically hauling the net out of the water.

How to Construct a Bamboo Lifting Net
A bamboo lifting net comprises a horizontal bamboo panel supported by wood or metal bars, or a bag shaped like a parallelepiped, pyramid, or cone with the opening facing upwards.
Collect very long bamboo for the trap’s main body. Split the bamboo stem and frame the bamboo panel with knitting. It can be any size between 1 x 1 m and 4 x 4 m. Mesh size is typically small, ranging from 10 to 20 mm bar size depending on the fish to be harvested.

A bamboo net is mounted (E = approximately 0.50) on four sides of a bamboo. The four corners are joined with twine above the center of the bamboo net, and a rope is attached. The other end of the rope is attached to a pole that allows the net to be raised and lowered in the water. This pole is mounted on a pivot stand with a counterweight to make lifting easier. Smaller nets are sometimes operated by hand, without the use of a pole.

Lower the net into the pond until it rests near the bottom. To attract fish, throw some feed over the net. Lift the net up quickly and smoothly while the fish are actively feeding. Lift nets are typically most effective in the depth of water.
