Farm animals who broke world records by virtue of their size.

There are many animals that are named in the Guinness Book of World records like the Mangalitsa of
Hungary (Mangalica), the only remaining pig breed with a thick, woolly coat resembling that of a sheep
is the Hungarian Mangalitsa or Mangalica. A mature boar can weigh between 800 and 1000 pounds,
making them one of the fattest pigs in the entire animal kingdom.

She achieved because of her weight but in this article, we’ll address
animals who have gigantic sizes.

1. Blossom the Holstein is recognized by Guinness as the
the tallest cow ever.

The World Record is Set by Blossom the Cow. Blossom the cow from the Memory Lane Crafting Retreat
comes to mind. The stunning cow, who appeared on the cover of Illinois Partners magazine’s Spring
2014 issue, has since completed an amazing achievement.

She is a female Holstein cow, which is the breed most renowned for being the dairy animal with
the greatest output rate in the world. Blossom, on the other hand, established her own
reputation by expanding beyond what most others believed was feasible.

Blossom is an enormous 74.8 inches tall, while the average Holstein cow grows to be between
58 and 65 inches tall from hoof to shoulder. Her veterinarian had to use a step stool to check
her since she was so tall.

A year after setting the world record, Blossom sadly passed away on May 26th, 2015 after
suffering an irreversible leg injury. She nevertheless continues to hold the record today.

2. Meet Oklahoma Sam, the tallest donkey in the
world.

Oklahoma Sam, a mule, is now known as the “Tallest Living Donkey” on the earth.
She dwarfs both her own larger “Mammoth Jackstock” breed and the average donkey (8
hands height), standing at 15.3 hands (155.45 cm; 5ft 1in) tall (12 hands high).
The four-year-old record-breaker resides in Watsonville, California, where she has a
Macaw, four cats, a goose, a duck, and half an acre of property to herself. When Sam
isn’t chasing the other animals around the farmland, she can usually be found napping
in a shaded area or nibbling on her bale. The other animals are unfazed by Sam’s size
and enjoy playing with the giant donkey.

3. Jake – the tallest horse in the world.
Everybody has marveled at the size of enormous draught horses, which are often
between 17 and 18 hands tall. You might have even observed some at 19 hours, which is
quite amazing.
You have probably never encountered a horse as tall as Big Jake, though. Since January
19th, 2010, 15-year-old Belgian gelding Jake held the Guinness World Record for
being the tallest horse. He was measured at Smokey Hollow Farms in Poynette,
Wisconsin, at 20 hands and 2.75 inches tall without shoes.
At the withers, that is almost 7 feet tall! Belgians typically vary from 17 to 18 hours.
Foals weigh about 125 pounds at birth. Big Jake was 240 years old.
Jake is kind despite his enormous size. He consumes one-half of a bale of hay and 32
quarts of oats in a day.

4. The largest horn on the earth.
The largest set of horns in the entire world belongs to a steer by the name of Lurch, and
they measure more than three feet in length!
The enormous 37.5-inch circumference of Lurch’s horns smashes the previous record of
31 inches. The enormous horns are around 100 pounds each and measure 7 feet from
tip to tip.

A breed of steer known as “the cattle of kings” among African tribes, Lurch is an AnkoleWatusi steer. Lurch is a giant among giants because his horns are nearly twice as large
as the average Watusi circumference of 18 to 20 inches. Watusi cattle are known for
having enormous horns.
