Epic combat between lions and buffaloes is undoubtedly one of the most thrilling we’ve seen in the
animal kingdom.
Since buffalo have traditionally been the lions’ preferred food since they can feed the largest herds with
a single specimen, the two animals have historically been fierce rivals.
Buffalo hunting, however, is more difficult for lions because of the buffalo’s intimidating size, long,
curved horns that evoke a sense of dread, amazing strength when attacking, and bravery.
The herd of buffaloes also defends its members; as a result, if one of their numbers is attacked by a lion
or another predator, the other buffaloes will retaliate and go in for the kill.
This is the reason lions typically seek an isolated member of the group or attempt to isolate it, taking
a variety of measures to incite panic in the herd and cause a disorderly retreat, which allows the group
to open up and allow for a better assault.
Even when they are able to locate a solitary buffalo, the hunt is not always successful, and the battles
frequently go on for several minutes or even hours.
In one of the videos, A wild buffalo rushes to fight after being knocked down by 12 lions. The buffalo
herd then started to move in. One of them made the decision to dive in to save the wounded buffalo
that was lying between the lions.
A lion is charged by a wild buffalo, which uses its steel-hard horn to pierce the lion’s abdomen. The lion
was launched into the air several times before being flung to the ground like an object.
